Should a crick in the neck go away by itself

We see all kinds of pain in the body as a sign that the brain can' t compensate for imbalances in the nervous system. This is why it is important to get a neck strain treated as your body is telling you that there is an imbalance that needs to be addressed. There is a tendency for neck pain to be treated with painkillers and exercises, but it often comes back and many find that exercises are not enough

We remove the cause of neck stiffness – quickly and efficiently.

Why do I have a crick in the neck

Our experience is that neck stiffness is often caused by muscular imbalances and an oversensitive nervous system. There are often problems with the brain's processing of vision. The fewest imbalances in the nervous system are unconscious in our daily life, so it is not something we think about. But most people can feel an improvement in pain level and mobility in the neck in connection with treatment with P-DTR.

Neck pain can also be a sign of a protusion or disc prolapse , why it is always relevant to seek help, to clarify the cause of the pain

Myosis or headache

During a crick in the neck, you can experience that there are myoses in the neck and shoulder area. This can also trigger headaches, due to the increased tension. Both myoses and headaches can be solved by removing the muscular imbalances related to the neck and shoulder area.

Conventional Physiotherapy vs. P-DTR

A crick in the neck is commonly known as a lock and many therapists manipulate the joint in place. This provides an immediate relief of the symptoms, but in my oppinion not a lasting result.

I believe that a crick in the neck is the brain that tries to protect the body, by preventing a specific movement. I therefore treat the nervous system and remove the cause of the lock, ie the muscular imbalances around the joints. The muscles are stronger than the ligaments at all times and will eventually pull the joint out of place again. You will therefore experience a longer-lasting effect with P-DTR than with conventional physiotherapy or chiropractic.

Brændgaard Physiotherapy

Annika Brændgaard has been a trained physiotherapist for 11 years and worked with babies, children and adults. She has treated with many different physiotherapeutic methods, but none with as good an effect as P-DTR.
P-DTR has been around for 20 years and is used in the United States as the primary treatment method by many chiropractors. It is a medically based form of treatment and studies are being done to create evidence about the effect of it.

The body is connected and at Brændgaard Physiotherapy I approach the treatment in a holistic way. Pain and reduced mobility in the neck can come from other places in the body and the cause is typically found elsewhere than in the pain area.

You can expect professional and competent treatment from your team in the neck.
